About The RMCRA

 

The RMCRA is a non-profit organization of nurses, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, dieticians, psychosocial counselors, and other health professionals involved in the care of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation patients. RMCRA's primary mission is dedicated to the facilitation of the exchange of knowledge regarding cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation among health-care professionals. The association includes Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming and is affiliated with the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

 

Objectives of the RMCRA

  1. To encourage and promote the highest quality standards for the conduction of programs of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  2. To provide professional education through the sponsorship and/or promotion of educational conferences, scientific meetings, and publications.
  3. To provide a forum for information exchange, including but not limited to communications which will effect delivery of quality health-care services.
  4. To encourage and coordinate research that will enhance the understanding of rehabilitation’s impact on disease processes, the health and personal welfare of patients, and the social health-care support systems.
  5. To provide a vehicle for communication between the rehabilitation centers and the third party providers.
  6. To cooperate and collaborate with other organizations having interests similar to the Association.
  7. To provide ways and means to enhance career development of its members.
